Farmers in Marshall County should plan to attend the PARP meeting on February 17 at Bremen United Methodist Church, 302 West Plymouth Street. Topics discussed during the meeting include Tar Spot in Corn, Challenges with Weeds, Biologicals Worth It?, and the 2025 Regulatory Update.
Another educational opportunity is on February 26, during the St. Joseph County Spring Meeting, which will be hosted at the Lakeville Community Center, 214 West Patterson Street.
Registration for either meeting will be at 8:30 AM, and the meeting will be from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM ET. The topics will be Neonic Seed Treatments, Covering Soil Health, and the 2025 Regulatory Update. There will also be meetings held in Fulton County. The Fulton County PARP will be held on February 11th at the Aubbeenaubee Township Community Building, 7410 West Olson Road in Rochester. The topics covered will include White Mold, Corn Nematodes, Soybean Plant Breeding, Corn Hybrids and Soybean Varieties, Marketing Outlook, and the 2025 Regulatory Update. To register, call 574-372-2340. The Fulton County PARP 2 will be held on February 24th at the Fulton Community Center, 204 East Dunn Street in Fulton. Topics include Pest Management, Micro-Nutrient Applications, Nitrogen Management, and Regulatory Updates. To register, call 574-946-3412.
The Indiana Soybean Alliance and the Indiana Corn Marketing Council will sponsor the PARP credits. Those interested in credits must bring their PARP License or license number. As a reminder, private applicators must receive three credits every five years to renew their license. Applicators cannot receive more than two credits in one calendar year but can attend any PARP meetings.
