A pedestrian was killed in Warsaw after being struck by a semi on US 30 around 3:10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4.
According to reports by the Warsaw Police Department McKenzie Callison, 32, of North Manchester, was hit by a 2025 Freightliner Cascadia tractor/trailer driven by Wally Ortiz, 54, of of Joliet, Ill. Callison allegedly had crossed into the path of the semi traveling a westbound lane on US 30 and Old Road 30. Callison succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office Fatal Team assisted with the reconstruction and the investigation remains ongoing.
