An Open Mic Readings event is being held at Mellow Mug Cafe on Thursday, April 9 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
During the event a microphone will be provided to anyone wanting to share their original creative writing with others. Sponsored by the Fulton County Public Library and Digital Wolf Network, the event is free anyone wanting to attend and open to all ages, with all types of writing content welcome, whether it be poems, stories, essays or excerpts. Readers will be given a spot via first come first serve basis, with writers asked to check into the event between 4-4:30pm on Thursday.
David Hazledine from the Fulton County Public Library's literacy department will be the event MC. Each reader will be allowed between 30 seconds to 10 minutes to share their work. An audience is also welcome, with the event being open to community members who want to attend and listen during the open mic readings.
