The Vincennes University baseball Trailblazers scored 5 runs in the first inning and went on to post a 12-6 win over host East Central College in the opening round of the Central District tournament at Union, Missouri Thursday.
Former Red Hill Saluki sophomore Bryce Gross closed out the first inning scoring with an RBI single. VU is now 28-32 and advance in the winners bracket and will face Heartland College Friday at 1:30 p.m. ET. Heartland advanced with an 8-7 10 inning win over North Central College.
