Congratulations to Delaney Ledbetter and Nick Moorehead of Lawrence County. Both have qualified for the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) State wrestling finals after taking part in Class 1A Sectionals last Saturday.
Ledbetter finished third in the 126-pound weight class at the Virden Girls Individual Sectional. She will move on to the 1A Girls State Finals scheduled to take place Friday, February 27th and Saturday, February 28th in Bloomington, Illinois.
Moorehead finished third in the 175-pound weight class at the Vandalia Boys Individual Sectional also Saturday. He will move on to participate in the 1A Boys State Wrestling Finals starting Thursday, February 19th through Saturday, February 21st at the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois.
