Both the Parkview Junior High Braves and the Red Hill Junior High Salukis were in the 16-team field for the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) Class 3A Sectional 8 track meet Saturday at Maroa-Forsyth. Two Braves won events and have qualified for the state finals. Derek Rodriguez captured both the 7th grade 100-and-200-meter dash and will compete in those events at the 7th grade state meet Friday and Saturday at Eastside Centre in East Peoria. Ava Cessna won the 8th grade girls shot put and will compete in that event Friday also in East Peoria.
