Marcus Davis was outstanding on the mound Monday for the Red Hill baseball Salukis.
He threw a 5 hit shutout in an 8-0 win over Odin at Odin in the first round of the Midland Trail Conference (MTC) boys baseball tournament. Davis, who is returning from injury, went all 7 innings and walked 2 with 7 strikeouts as the Salukis improved to 11-8 on the season.
The Salukis scored their 8 runs on 10 hits and made no errors. Avery Arbuckle had 2 hits and 2 RBI; Jaxon Kiser had 2 hits and an RBI hit and Keegan Liston had a hit and 2 RBI to lead the Saluki offense.
The Salukis now advance to action Wednesday in the tournament.
