Olivia Bailey’s high school golf career is in its final days.
They are going to be memorable ones for the Rochester senior.
Bailey was the top individual golfer at the regional for the third time and her 67 included a hole-in-one Saturday at Sandy Pines to advance to the state finals.
Bailey also excels in the classroom. This week, she was one of 15 ladies announced as Academic All-State.
Bailey finished three strokes ahead of Kennedy Gutierrez of Valparaiso.
For Rochester, it was a seventh place team finish with a 367, just one stroke back of the 366 posted by Chesterton. Molly Moore carded an 89 for Rochester. Rounding out the Zebras scoring were teammates Alexis Haughs (96), Lilly Chipps (115), and Audrey Widman (155).
Lake Central was the regional team champ with a 332. South Bend St. Joseph (341) and Penn (347) as top three teams also advanced to the state finals.
The girls golf state finals will begin October 3 at the Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel.
