Remi Spicklemire became the first Morristown gymnast to compete at the IHSAA State Finals since 2008 at Ball State University’s Worthen Arena.
The sophomore scored her best score of the season (9.05) on the balance beam at the regional competition on March 1 to earn the trip to Muncie.
On Saturday, Spicklemire could not match her regional performance and scored an 8.1 on her balance beam routine and finished 36th overall in the state competition.
