LV girls fall to Washington Township LAKEVILLE - The varsity softball team had one bad inning that turned a tight 4-2 contest into a six-run deficit in a 14-2 loss to Class 1A #11 Washington Township. After the Senators took a 4-0 lead, LaVille rallied for two runs in the bottom of the third. Brianna Sauer hit a clutch 2-RBI triple after Hannah Filley doubled and Sydney Coblentz walked. Washington Township changed the momentum in the top of the fourth. The Valpaaraiso visitors sent 11 batters to the plate, highlighted by four hits including a bases clearing double. Filley, Sauer, and Allison Medors led the offense with two hits each. LaVille will travel to Caston for a Hoosier North Athletic Conference game April 26.
