Gross to play baseball at Brescia College

Vincennes University sophomore shortstop and former Red Hill Saluki Bryce Gross has announced he will continue his baseball and academic career next season at National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Brescia University in Owensboro, Ky.

Gross has been the everyday shortstop for the Trailblazers and also has pitched in the late innings out of the bullpen.

He has played 56 games this spring and is hitting .243 with 4 homers and 28 RBI. He has also pitched 11 1/3 innings with 11 strikeouts in 13 appearances.

He is an Academic All-Conference and Academic All-American in the classroom and won the President's Male Academic Excellence Award at the 2025 Willie Awards.

Gross and his Trailblazer teammates won the Region 24 championship and will compete this week in the Central District Championships starting Thursday May 15th in Union, Missouri against the host Falcons. Gametime is 1:30 p.m. ET.
