Downs Tri-Valley held the Parkview 8th grade Lady basketball Braves to no points in the second quarter and went on to defeat them 27-22 Thursday night in the IESA Class 8-3A third place game in the state finals at Germantown Hills Middle School.
The Lady Braves trailed by 2 after one quarter but could not find the range in the second and fell behind 19-8 at the half. Despite a strong effort in the second half, the Lady Braves fell short in the five-point loss and finish fourth at 24-2 overall. Both Sienna Ivers and Cameron Sanders led the scoring with 6 points apiece.
