Waldron Freedom Fest is set for a two-day celebration Friday and Saturday in southeastern Shelby County.
A parade, car show, family-friendly activities, musical entertainment and a festive fireworks show are the highlights of the annual event.
Friday’s schedule features a Kid Zone, the Waldron High School alumni banquet, a frog jumping competition, live entertainment on the main stage and a Powder Puff football game.
Saturday’s schedule kicks off with the Mohawk Trail Run-Walk at 8 a.m.
A car show runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The parade through Waldron starts at 2 p.m.
Live entertainment takes the main stage at 3:30 p.m. and continues up through the fireworks show.
The Biggest Little Tractor Pull begins at 5 p.m.
The Don Stuck Band is the headline performer Saturday. The band takes the stage at 9 p.m.
Nick Fischer will sing the National Anthem at 10:10 p.m.
GIANT fm Real Radio (96.5 fm, 1520 am, GIANT fm app) begins the musical introduction to the fireworks show at 10:13 p.m. and provides the musical soundtrack for the annual fireworks extravaganza that is scheduled for 10:15 p.m.
