The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced there will be lane closures for U.S. 50 in Knox County in early March.
Beginning in or around Tuesday March 10th, crews will begin work on the highway over Fort Knox Drive near Vincennes.
The lane closures are part of Phase 2 of a bridge replacement project at that location. During this phase, eastbound lanes of traffic will be closed with westbound lanes handling traffic in both directions. This will allow for the replacement of the eastbound bridge deck.
The work is anticipated to last through the middle of August, depending on weather conditions. Those traveling are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and around road construction zones.
