Officers with the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to 1229 West Washington Street in Plymouth at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday, June 16th, for a physical domestic battery.
When city officers arrived on the scene, they spoke to a male and a female. The female told them that her husband, later identified as Isaac Sosa, 28 years old, of 1224 West Washington Street in Plymouth, had hit her in the face. Officers could see marks, and Sosa admitted that he did slap her in the face.
Sosa was taken into custody, transported to Marshall County Jail, and was booked in for domestic battery and held on a $1,500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
