The city of Lawrenceville has announced a special session of the city council on Wednesday, February 4th at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
The purpose of the meeting is to approve a replacement for the council vacancy in Ward 1. The seat has been open since the resignation of alderwoman Kelly Lewis in December of 2025.
Potential candidates who reside in Ward 1 interested in serving on the council were invited to apply to Lawrenceville Mayor David Courtney and he will make a recommendation to the full council. upon selection, the new alderman or woman will be formally sworn in and seated.
