Washington (Ind.) Police have announced the arrest of a man suspected in a fatal shooting this past weekend.
21-year-old Ashton Baxter of Washington was taken into custody Saturday and preliminarily charged with Murder, Battery Committed with a Deadly Weapon, and Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon.
The charges stem from the discovery of the body of 51-year-old Phillip Waggoner deceased from multiple gunshot wounds at a Washington residence.
Baxter was transported to the Daviess County Security Center in Washington and was being held there without bond as an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death continues.
