Vincennes University has made a leadership change in one of its departments.
The school this week said that Dean Michelle Cummins will be stepping down from that administrative position and returning to the classroom as a faculty member in the College of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics. She has been given praise for her work in expanding academic programs, strengthening partnerships with regional healthcare providers and leading the planning for the new $33.9 million Center for Health Sciences and Learning Innovation set to open in January of 2026.
Dr. Jason King has been named as the interim Dean. King is an assistant professor of nursing who joined the university earlier this year. He brings more than 20 years of healthcare executive leadership experience to his new role.
