Plymouth Police Chief John Weir investigated the second crash of a vehicle into a building in the past five days.
Tuesday morning, May 21st at 11:10, emergency responders were dispatched to the SuperWash at 2140 North Oak Drive for a vehicle that drove through the north wall of the car wash.
Officers from the Plymouth Police Department along with emergency responders from Plymouth Fire and EMS removed the driver that was pinned in the vehicle. The driver was transported by Plymouth EMS to Memorial Hospital due to injuries suffered from the collision.
Lyons Towing removed the vehicle from the building.
This is now the fourth vehicle that has crashed into a building this year. Just last Friday, May 17th an elderly woman from Fort Wayne drove into the Arby’s Restaurants in Plymouth, and last month in April a driver crashed into the Goodwill Store. In March a crash at U.S. 30 and Pioneer Drive sent a semi into the Hacienda.
