Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) released the following statement after voting for the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which mandates in-person proof of U.S. citizenship when individuals register to vote in federal elections:
“The SAVE Act is commonsense legislation that ensures only American citizens vote in American federal elections,” Rep. Yakym said. “While Democrats resort to fearmongering and lies, Republicans remain focused on protecting election integrity and restoring confidence in our electoral systems.”
