Patrons of the Lawrence Public Library will be safer after the Board of Trustees discussed and voted for an updated and revised emergency/disaster plan at the facility in downtown Lawrenceville.
Head librarian and library director Diane Brumley told GIANT-FM News that it will address such things as what to do in case of bad weather, a medical issue or an active shooter and staff protocols for various situations.
The plan will be reviewed annually.
Also, it was reported that library employee Tracy Edgin will retire with her final day being Monday, March 31st.
Board secretary Cyndi Hays-Morris is stepping down from the board.
Her resignation was accepted and Betsy Loeb has been appointed to fill her unexpired term.
