The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary closure on U.S. 231 in Greencastle for the Putnam County 4-H Fair Parade.
Beginning Sunday at 1:00 p.m., U.S. 231 / Bloomington Street will be closed between Frazier Street and State Road 240 until the completion of the event, which is expected to last until the later afternoon / early evening hours. The detour around the closure follows the current INDOT detour starting west to Fraizer Street to Madison Street to Walnut Street to Jackson Street to Veterans Memorial Parkway, back to U.S. 231.
INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and be cautious when driving near the parade with increased pedestrian traffic.
