A Logansport woman was hospitalized after being shot in her home early Tuesday morning. Officers with the Logansport Police Department have arrested two men and one teenager in connection with the shooting.
Two men and one juvenile were arrested on charges connected to a Tuesday Cass County shooting.
The incident happened in the 3000 block of Pennsylvania Ave in Logansport just before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
According to a press release, a female called 911. She claimed three individuals showed up at her residence looking for her juvenile son. Three rounds were fired into the home from an unknown distance just before the woman went into her home to call 911. One of the rounds struck the victim.
The woman was eventually transported to an out-of-town hospital, where she is being treated on what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
A SWAT team was activated to serve multiple warrants from information obtained during the investigation. Eventually Christopher Zarate, 21, Edward Cook, 18, and a 17-year-old were arrested by Logansport Police in connection with Tuesday's shooting. Preliminary charges include two felony charges of aggravated battery and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department, Cass County Drug Task Force, Miami County Sheriff's Department, Logansport Fire Department, and Cass County EMS assisted the Logansport Police Department during the investigation.
