The Grover Center: Museum and Historical Society has announced its signature fundraising event, A Blast from the Past: British Invasion will occur on Sept. 28 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Carl McNeely Civic Center, 945 S. Tompkins St. in Shelbyville.
This year’s theme celebrates the legendary British Invasion, featuring live music from the energetic tribute band Audiodacity. They will perform iconic hits from The Beatles, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, and more.
Attendees will enjoy a night filled with delicious British-inspired cuisine, including fish and chips catered by Mel's Catering, and treats from Beth to satisfy your sweet tooth.
A cash bar will be available, along with a silent auction featuring exclusive items from local businesses and unique experiences, like a stay at the Charles Davis Mansion, Indianapolis Indians tickets, and themed baskets including wine nights and family activities.
All proceeds support the Grover Center’s mission to preserve Shelby County’s rich history.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.
Audiodacity will take the stage from 7 to 9 p.m.

Don’t forget to come dressed in your best 1960s attire and get ready to dance the night away!
Last year's Blast From the Past: Grover’s Sock Hop raised over $20,000, and this year, the Grover Center hopes to raise even more to continue supporting the museum’s educational programs and community outreach.
Tickets are $40 per person and are available for purchase through Sept. 25 at the Grover Center or online at www.grovercenter.org
For more information, contact Sarah Richardt, Executive Director, at director@grovercenter.org or visit the Grover Center: Museum and Historical Society at 52 W. Broadway Street, open Wednesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
