Residents in Putnam County may want to keep an eye on their mailboxes as tax statements have been mailed out to all property owners and F-11 forms are also headed to property owning residents.
According to Putnam County Treasurer Karrie Minor, all tax statements were mailed as of April 10 and will be in the customary pink envelopes. The spring installment will be due May 11 and the fall installment will be due on Nov. 10.
Anyone who does not receive a bill can request a duplicate by contacting the Treasurer's Office at 653-4510 or emailing treasureroffice@co.putnam.in.us. Taxes can be paid at the following banks: First Financial, First National, Old National, North Salem State, Everwise Credit Union and Tri-County. Taxes may also be paid online at enoticesonline.com/put or by using the automated telephone service at 1-877-690-3729, jurisdiction code 2442.
As for the F-11 forms from the Putnam County Assessor's office, Assessor Don Badolato said the forms are in the mail and detail the total assessed value of property as of Jan. 1, 2026. The form is not a tax bill and is used to determine what property taxes will be based on next year.

If a resident believes the assessed value is incorrect, they do have the right to appeal.
Anyone seeking to appeal must fill out a F-130 form completely, sign it and drop it off at the Assessor's Office before June 15.
