No violations were found when the city of Bridgeport underwent a recent inspection of its facilities by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
That report was made to the city council Tuesday by Mayor Tyler Griffin. He told GIANT-FM News that no violations were discovered, just some minor infractions. Those have been rectified and the city is now awaiting a response from OHSA officials.
Mayor Griffin also reported that the city is now working on a rotational 3-year cleaning plan for its water wells. He said that one of the wells was recently pulled and cleaned to help with its maintenance. The wells will now be cleaned on an annual basis in hopes of increasing their efficiency and life.
The mayor also emphasized that people mowing grass should abstain from blowing the clippings onto city streets and golf carts and side-by-side vehicles should refrain from traveling on State Street. Both of those are city ordinance violations and could be subject to the issuance of tickets.
