T-Mobile Celebrates 275 Hometown Grant Recipients, including Argos

On Thursday evening, T-Mobile hosted a check presentation at the Gallery On West in Argos.

Argos was one of T-Mobile’s latest 25 Hometown Grant recipients. The $50,000 grant will help launch the “4-H Poss-ABILITIES Program,” crafted to offer inclusive youth livestock and exhibit building experiences, pairing K-12 grade special needs students with 4-H youth mentors, providing enriching opportunities in both livestock care and exhibit development throughout Marshall County. The project was submitted by the Marshall County 4-H Council.

“The County Commissioners support and applaud the efforts of the 4H Council and Fair Board in their efforts to provide these expanded opportunities for those with special needs in our community and wish them all the best moving forward,” said Mike Burroughs, Marshall County Commissioner. “This award from T-Mobile will open new opportunities for those who have been unable to participate in the past. We thank all involved for seeing the good in what is being done and working to make it better.

Through Hometown Grants, people in communities nationwide are kickstarting projects that make a real difference and help their towns thrive. Since launching its five-year commitment to small towns in April 2021, T-Mobile has awarded a whopping 275 communities across 46 states and over $12 million in funding.

T-Mobile's commitment to small towns goes beyond Hometown Grants, with initiatives like Project 10Million, which offers free internet connectivity and mobile hotspots to eligible students to help close the digital divide.

Each quarter, T-Mobile awards 25 Hometown Grants to small towns with populations of 50,000 or less. To apply for a Hometown Grant, visit here.
