A man who stabbed another person during a physical altercation in a home kitchen has faced a judge in his first court appearance.
The incident occurred at the Winthrop Court Apartments.
The fight happened on February 18th, when a witness claimed that 40-year-old Joseph E. Johnson stabbed the victim in the back while the victim and suspect were on the ground. Following the stabbing, the victim ran from the home.
Johnson faces felony charges for aggravated battery, battery with a deadly weapon, and battery resulting in serious bodily injury. Johnson will appear in court again in June.
