The second Community Talent Show opens in June at The REES. Residents can enjoy watching local talent shine on the Bob Pickell stage on Saturday, June 7, at 7:30 p.m. If you’re more of a “hands-on” person, sign up at The Rees’ website and show everyone your best side. Contact Kelsey at 574-337-7337 with questions.
Little Giants is the Family Matinee Movie offering at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 8. Only one team from Urbania can advance to the Pee Wee football playoffs. Will it be the elite Cowboys, coached by former football star Kevin O’Shea (Ed O’Neill), or his brother Danny’s (Rick Moralis) ragtag team, the Giants? Admission is $8, free to children 12 and under accompanied by a paid adult.
Barefoot in the Park is the June offering in the Seasoned Citizen matinee series at The REES Theatre in downtown Plymouth on Wednesday, June 11, at 2:00 p.m.
Corie, a free-spirited young woman and Paul, a conservative, uptight man are newlyweds who move into a fifth-floor apartment in Greenwich Village. What could possibly go wrong? Among their many eccentric neighbors is the quirky Victor Velasco, who lives in the building's attic, so he climbs through the newlyweds’ window to get to his apartment. He also helps Corie with her place, showing her how to work the seemingly broken heating and plumbing. Does he have an ulterior motive?
This 1967 rom-com stars Robert Redford and Jane Fonda. Admission to The REES Seasoned Citizens matinee is $8.00 and includes a box of popcorn and non-alcoholic beverage of choice.
Tickets for all movies are available at Na’Rie Simple Treasures, Plymouth, online at www.reestheatre.com or at the box office one hour prior to show time.
Returning to Plymouth after many years is Missoula Children’s Theatre Camp Monday, June 23 to Saturday, June 28. Contact Kelsey at 574-337-7337 for detailed information on Missoula.
