Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel presented the County Commissioners with his annual Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification during their meeting on Monday.
The sheriff told the commissioner the agreement was for the federal drug investigations that the department participates in. They receive a percentage of the money that is seized. He must complete an annual financial report to show any income to the fund and expenditures.
The only income in 2024 was the interest earned on the funds already acquired, which was $995.26. The only expense was $3,750 for Law Enforcement Operations and Investigations to move the FLOCK cameras in the county.
The commissioners approved the sheriff’s report for submission, with Commissioner President Stan Klotz signing the report.
The opening balance in 2024 was $31,010.98 with earned interest of $995.26 and an expenditure of $3,750, bringing the fund balance to $28,256.24.
