The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will be looking for a new leader in the future.
The Board of Directors announced on Tuesday, August 11th that Jennifer Salyers is leaving to accept another professional opportunity teaching at the Vincennes Beauty College. She is originally from Vincennes and is a cosmetology instructor there. Her last day with the Chamber will be Friday, August 14th.
Salyers is a longtime Lawrence County resident who joined the Chamber office as Administrative Assistant in 2024, replacing Drew Wilson in the position. She then became Administrative Assistant and Office Manager in August of 2025 following the departure of Amy Michelle Seed as Executive Director and has overseen the day-to-day operations of the Chamber ever since.
In a statement, the Chamber Board thanked Salyers for her service and commitment during her time with the Chamber and wished her well in the next chapter of her career. They also indicated that they are actively working to ensure a smooth transition and have begun the search for the next Executive Director.
