On Thursday, September 4th, at approximately 1:20 in the afternoon, Plymouth Police were notified of a possible impaired driver leaving the Bowen Center in a black Lincoln SUV.
Officer Witkowski with the Plymouth Police Department spotted the vehicle traveling westbound on Jefferson Street and initiated a traffic stop in the parking lot of Lucky Mart at the corner of Michigan and Washington Streets.
The driver, Casandra Brown, 36, of Rochester, was found to be intoxicated. She was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and transported to the Marshal County Jail, where she was held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
