The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office has announced an update for volunteers participating in the 2026 Ride the Lightning fundraiser.
Taking on the challenge for this year so far is Brandy Stalbaum, Fulton County 911; Andy Brubaker, Mike's Trash LLC; and Shaun Budd, Tippecanoe Valley High School SRO.
Think you’ve got what it takes? There’s still time to sign up. Last year the challenge raised over $12,000 to support the local FOP Lodge #143 Shop With a Cop program. The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is calling on area businesses to step up and get involved by finding a brave volunteer within your organization willing to “Ride the Lightning.”
Volunteers participating in the event who raise the least amount of donations will be the ones who get tased during the event at the Fulton County Sheriff's Office on May 14. All proceeds raised go directly to Fulton County Shop With a Cop, helping local kids in our community.
Those interested in participating can reach out to Chief Deputy Matt Utter at m.utter@co.fulton.in.us.
