The six new pickleball courts at the Hunter Tennis Complex in Centennial Park in Plymouth were busy Wednesday evening as Mayor Robert Listenberger cut the ribbon on the new facility.
The mayor was joined by members of the Plymouth Park Board, lots of picklers and those who donated to get the project completed.
Park superintendent Mike Hite thanked the pickleballers for all their support of the project.
VP of the Plymouth Park Board Alex Eads thanked everyone for coming to the ribbon cutting event. He also thanked the Marshall County Community Foundation for their financial support, all the pickleballers, the park staff, City of Plymouth, and the sponsors. Eads said each time he comes by the facility the courts are always busy.

Mayor Listenberger commented that theproject took just a few years to complete with all the help. He said with all the use the courts are getting the park board may need to consider an expansion in the near future.
Dave Miller, a local pickleballer, led the charge for private donations to the project. He said that everyone saw the need and got involved including the former city administration and the current administration. Miller said this project was truly a team effort.
