Tuesday, Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) issued the following statement after voting for H.R. 28, the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act; legislation that passed the U.S. House of Representatives today:
“In recent years, the radical left has proudly promoted biological males competing in women's sports in the name of equity and inclusion. Unfortunately, they are willing to defy basic biology to advance their political agenda."
“While everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, women’s sports must be safeguarded from a harmful ideology disconnected from reality."
"As the father of two girls, this issue is deeply personal to me, and it cannot go unaddressed. This crucial legislation helps ensure that women's sports are protected for future generations, and I am proud to support it."
