Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) released the following statement marking the second anniversary of Hamas’ terror attacks on Israel:
“Today marks two years since Hamas terrorists carried out a brutal attack on Israel, murdering innocent civilians in their homes, at a music festival, and in the streets, and taking countless hostages. Among those killed, injured, and abducted were American citizens,” Rep. Yakym said. “Israel has every right to defend itself, eliminate the threat posed by Hamas, and bring every hostage home. To call that act of self-defense ‘genocide’ is a reckless and dangerous distortion that excuses Hamas’s terrorism and propaganda.
“As we mark this solemn anniversary, my heart is with the families who lost loved ones and with those still held captive. The United States stands firmly with Israel and remains unwavering in our commitment to bringing the hostages home and securing lasting peace.”
