A county police officer stopped a Plymouth woman Saturday and arrested her.
At approximately 9:50 p.m., Officer Wozniak with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department initiated a traffic stop on a white 2006 Dodge van in the area of Michigan Road and 4th Road. During his investigation, the driver, Kathleen L. Dean, 47, of 6C Road in Plymouth, was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.
Field sobriety testing was completed, and a certified blood draw later showed her to be over two times the legal limit of alcohol.
Kathleen Dean was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for operating a vehicle while intoxicated-endangerment and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .15 or more and held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
