Emelia Chapman earned first place and will be advancing to the state contest in the Discovery Creed Speaking division.
Competing in the District Contest were front- Lydia Jeffries, Addy Crum, Emma Pezan, MaKenna Mager, and Abby Mathis; middle- Julia Helderman, Khloe Llewellyn, Ellyrae Rader, Emelia Chapman, Stormi Swaim, and Leah Mathis; back- Wesley Pratt, Max Jeffries, Bodie Thornton, Cooper Kelly, Eli Seay, Luke Mauntel, Lane Helderman, and Hayes Witty.
Earning second place awards were Stormi Swaim and Leah Maupin- Animal Science Demonstration; Khloe Llewellyn - Prepared Public Speaking; Bodie Thornton and Max Jeffries - Discovery Animal Science Demonstration; Ellyrae Rader - Discovery Food Science Demonstration; Julia Helderman - Discovery Prepared Public Speaking; and Hayes Witty - Discovery Horticulture and Landscape Management.
Third place awards went to Lane Helderman- Ag Sales and the Discovery Quiz Bowl Team of Max Jeffries, Eli Seay, Luke Mauntel, and Emelia Chapman.
Also competing in the contest were Wesley Pratt- Extemporaneous Public Speaking; Abigail Mathis and Lydia Jeffries- Food Science Demonstration; Eli Seay-Discovery Extemporaneous Speaking; and Emma Pezan- Traditional Scrapbook; Cooper Kelly, Addy Crum, MaKenna Mager, Emma Pezan- Quiz Bowl.
