Mike Hite, the Plymouth Park Superintendent, told members of the Park Board that the Greenway Trail in River Park Square has been completed.
The trail from Centennial Park to Price’s Pond has the pavement down. He said the boardwalk and bridge over the ditch haven’t arrived yet. Hite said there is some cosmetic work that still needs to be completed around the pavement area, too.
The park superintendent suggested hosting a ribbon-cutting for both projects at the same time instead of two separate events. No decision was made.
Hite said the Blueberry Festival seemed to go off without any issues. He said the grounds look like usual after half a million people spent four days walking around.
Superintendent Hite said the festival board members have worked very hard to get the park back to its normal condition. They have been working with park employees to make sure any problem areas are addressed. Hite said they have until Thursday to finish their cleanup process.
The rain on Wednesday helped to bring the grass back to life.
