The Lawrence County Emergency Food and Shelter Board were the recent recipients of just over $6,300 for use to help out local service agencies. The money will be used by those agencies to supplement programs to help feed and shelter those less fortunate. A local board will determine how and where the funding will be distributed. Any public or private voluntary agency in Lawrence County interested in applying can contact Judy Hutchinson at (618) 943-6131 for an application. Applications must be completed and returned by Wednesday March 13th.
