From its history as the first federally-funded road in the United States U.S. 40 this week is known for over 800 miles of garage sales across six states.
The Indiana National Road Association started the national yard sale over 20 years ago to promote tourism on the national road.
The nationally-promoted garages sales continue through Sunday.
