Two movies will be showing at The REES this week. On Wednesday, the Seasoned Citizen movie will be “Jailhouse Rock,” starring Elvis Presley. Friday’s Date Night movie is the comedy classic “Airplane!”
Presley shines in his first dramatic rock’n’roll classic. This 1957 story of music, fame, and redemption also stars Judy Tyler and Mickey Shaughnessy. People 55-and-older receive a free popcorn and soda with their $8 ticket. The show begins at 2 p.m.
“Can you fly this plane and land it?”
“Surely, you can’t be serious.”
“I am serious - and don’t call me Shirley.”
“Airplane!” What more needs to be said? The 1980 comedy has an all-star cast and non-stop jokes. The laughs start at 7:30 p.m. Kids 12 and younger are free with a paid adult.
Both movies are $8 per person. Tickets are available online at reestheatre.org; in-person at Na Rie Simple Treasures during the week; and The REES box office one hour before the show.
