Mammoth Solar is pleased to announce the initiation of economic development payments to Pulaski County, totaling $375,200 this year—$60,200 within the coming months and another $315,000 before the end of 2024.
This payment initiative underscores Doral Renewables LLC's commitment to Pulaski County's economic well-being. These payments will be made before any tax revenue from the project, ensuring that Pulaski County benefits early on. Mammoth Solar is committed to bolstering the local economy and supporting critical public services and community programs. This financial commitment is intended to provide immediate benefits to the county, ensuring positive impacts to the community are felt even before the first solar panel is installed.
Mammoth Solar, set to be one of the largest solar farms in the U.S., is designed to generate clean energy and bring long-term economic benefits to the region. The payments are a clear indication of Doral Renewables’ approach to ensuring that the community begins reaping the benefits of this project from the outset.
“We are committed to maintaining a strong and lasting partnership with Pulaski County throughout the lifecycle of the Mammoth Solar project. This includes ongoing collaboration with local leaders to ensure that the project continues to meet the needs and expectations of the community,” said Ed Baptista, Vice President of Development and Agrivoltaics at Doral Renewables, the company behind the project.
"Solar energy represents a great step forward in economic diversification for both our community at large and the participating landowners," added Nathan P. Origer, executive director of the Pulaski County Community Development Commission. "We look forward to working closely with our partners at Doral as Mammoth Solar becomes an economic asset and a catalyst for positive change in Pulaski County."
