This year’s Día del Niño celebration and the Marshall County Kids Expo will merge into one exciting event. This collaborative effort promises a fun-filled day celebrating children, culture, and community resources.
Día del Niño, or "Children's Day," is a cherished tradition celebrated in many Latin American countries. This special day honors children and promotes their well-being through fun, learning, and cultural appreciation. Plymouth Community School Corporation (PCSC) is proud to bring this tradition to our community, creating a space where families can gather and celebrate our students in a meaningful way.
The Marshall County Kids Expo is an annual event designed to connect families with information about local activities, camps, and services available for children throughout the summer and year-round. Attendees can explore opportunities in sports, arts, and education from over 40 vendors, ensuring parents are informed about enriching experiences for their kids.
Highlights of Saturday’s event include games, prizes, and fun activities for the whole family, with information on camps, activities, and services available in Marshall County. Free health services will be provided by the Marshall County Health Department, including physicals, hearing, vision, dental, and lead screenings. There is delicious food from local food trucks, including Chagos Tacos, Bohemian Beverage Co., Alegria Campestre, Pa'L Antojo, Scoops & Sweet Bubbles, and Apex Ice.
Mark your calendar for this Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Lincoln Junior High School, 830 Gibson Street, in Plymouth. Participants should enter through door No. 12.
The PCSC ENL team, together with the Marshall County Kids Expo and the Marshall County Health Department, proudly sponsors this event and invites families to join them for this special celebration of children and culture.
GIANT fm WTCA will interview representatives of the Kids Expo on Friday's "What's Your Opinion Show" right after the 9 a.m. news.
