Twelve high school teams from across southeastern Illinois, including Lawrenceville High School (LHS) competed in the Tip Off at the Trail event hosted on Saturday, November 15th by Lincoln Trail College in Robinson.
Cumberland High School won the scholastic bowl with a first-place finish. Marshall was second, Robinson third and Edwards County fourth. Other schools involved were LHS, Newton, Palestine, Effingham, Oblong, Fairfield, Flora and Clay City.
Two members of the LHS team were recognized on the All-Tournament team, picked for their individual excellence during the pool play contest. Tucker Waldrop and Corbin Williams were selected to the 11-person squad.
