A Kokomo woman was arrested on Friday, October 11th following a traffic stop by a Plymouth officer.
At approximately 1:45 am, the officer conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 30 and Pioneer Drive because the vehicle was traveling more than 75 MPH in a posted 50 MPH zone. During the traffic stop, the driver was identified as Danielle Nelson, 35 years old from Kokomo
The officer suspected Nelson was impaired and performed field sobriety testing as well as a chemical test. Nelson's blood alcohol content was nearly 3x the legal limit resulting in her being taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Danielle Nelson is facing criminal charges for felony-operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior, misdemeanor-operating a vehicle while intoxicated-endangering, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated-over .15.
