Three Logansport people were arrested following a report of attempted armed robbery and vehicle theft.
Just before midnight on Thursday a call to Cass County Central Dispatch received a call that lef officers to CR 600 North and CR 150 East. The man reported he was attacked by two men who shot at him and assaulted him with a baseball bat.
From the ensuing investigation, search warrants were issued for two nearby residences. Evidence located during the service of the warrants led to three arrests:
Shane Denny, 46, of rural Logansport
Robbery, Level 2 felony
Battery resulting in serious bodily injury, Level 5 felony
Theft, Level 6 felony
Maverick Walters, 66, of Logansport
Robbery, Level 2 felony
Battery resulting in serious bodily injury, Level 5 felony
Theft, Level 6 felony,
Possession of methamphetamine, Level 6 felony
Jeanna Garde, 51, of rural Logansport
Possession of methamphetamine, Level 6 felony
Possession of paraphernalia, Class C misdemeanor
The victim, a 51-year-old man from Kokomo, was transported to Logansport Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. He was later released from the hospital.
