Both the Knox County (Indiana) Commissioners and Council met in a joint session Tuesday and took the first step toward a downtown property aqquisition. They passed a resolution toward the eventual purchase of the former Old National Bank building at Third and Busseron Streets in downtown Vincennes. That five story structure was the former location of the bank until it moved to it's current Sixth Street location. Prior to that, the building was the location of a grand hotel. Knox County officials indicate that the location would be refurbished and repurposed in the future for public use.
