The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced that a state repair project is underway in Lawrence County.
Work began Monday on a box culvert replacement project in eastern Lawrence County. Illinois Route 33 at Robeson Hills will be closed to vehicular traffic in that area for the work until possibly the first week in September. A detour route has been established, and signs have been posted marking the detour. Those traveling in that area should be aware and use caution when in the work zones.
