The driver of a semi-tanker died at the hospital after a crash Wednesday in Hendricks County.
Hendricks County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle semi tanker crash near the 58 mile marker on I-74.
Preliminary investigation indicates a semi-tanker truck, occupied only by the male driver, was traveling eastbound on I-74, when it ran off the right side of the roadway and rolled. The male driver did not have a pulse when deputies arrived, so life-saving measures were started. The victim was transported from the crash scene to Hendricks Regional Hospital but was later pronounced dead. It is unclear at this time if the victim had a medical event prior to the crash or if his death resulted from injuries sustained in the crash itself.
The identity of the driver is currently being withheld as notifications to his family are actively being made.
